summary
Started Ignite Lansing to bring local creative, tech and student communities together instead of traveling to events, and each event increases talk submissions and attendance. The series directly causes new collaborations, spawns monthly entrepreneur meetings bridging students and locals, and motivates people to stay or return to Lansing. Organizers report measurable community impact, including contributing to a Kiplinger award for livability, showing the format actually builds lasting civic and startup networks.
