Using a dataset of 2,359 users from SMM-oriented apps the study claims online footprints predict relationship status by extracting four footprint types—profile, social interactions, expression, and mobility—and testing correlations with t tests and multivariable regression. Findings include older users and more “top” roles being likelier in steady relationships, steady partners using warmer profile colors and receiving more feedback, non-steady users checking in more at evening gathering spots and having more blocked accounts. A classifier built on 20 features shows predictive power with logistic regression giving the best results.
