Unite! An Urgent Call for Action
summary
Numbers are sharp not abstract: 50 million forcibly displaced, about 800 dead so far this year at sea and one Lampedusa wreck with over 200 fatalities, and only 120,000 Syrians resettled to Europe while Lebanon hosts 1 million refugees from a population of 4 million. Responses include setting up transitional housing in Bulgaria with government and Red Cross partners, bringing German and Israeli expressive therapists, and using art and music therapy to turn black, stuck trauma drawings into flowing, symmetrical images and practical child‑social worker co‑drawings.
