A web player using an HLS-like chunked streaming playlist serves short segments so a full-song composition becomes seekable and modifiable in real time. Playback supports arbitrary speed and reverse direction by scheduling and rotating multiple sources — a triple buffered AudioBufferSourceNodes approach with mirrored reverse segments. Major limits: resampling across segment boundaries causes audible clicks, AudioWorklet needed for perfect sample-accurate joins, and iOS/Safari lack full support.
