Status of DTS validation in the Linux kernel (and how to improve it)

A one-year audit compares DTS validation results (bscheck) between kernel snapshots by building the schema from linux-next and measuring total warnings, warnings per target, and percent of warning‑free DTBs. ARM64 shows large improvement while ARM still accumulates many duplicates; RISC‑V is essentially warning‑free and NXP (Freescale) reaches 100% compliant. Qualcomm and MediaTek drop from ~200 warnings toward zero. The validator and per‑vendor charts exist as reproducible data; some fixes immediately remove hundreds of downstream warnings.
