More MEC, less DHCP:PXE, with ZTP and Ironic
summary
Claims horizontal scaling of a MEC site with zero‑touch provisioning that removes PXE and DHCP by using Ironic plus Redfish virtual media and ramdisk workflows. The demo uses layer 3 DHCP-less boot, Redfish virtual media and ramdisk deployment, Bifrost/Ansible to install Ironic, static IPs and BMC credentials, and an Intel Smart Edge controller on OpenShift 4.8 to enroll Dell PowerEdge XC2420 nodes. Result: lab single‑node flow automates OS laydown and activation but entitlements still require a manual Intel token.
