Go.USA.gov: Create short .gov URLs

on YouTube ↗05m

" summary

go.usa.gov creates short official .gov links, tracks clicks in real time, and enforces permanent uneditable destinations so shortened links always point to the same resource. The beta limits registration to .gov/.mil/.fed.us/.org/.si.edu addresses and already has 1,484 registered users across federal, state and local offices. The most clicked short URL tops 46,000 clicks. Built in nine weeks in Drupal, three modules and a custom theme, it runs in the usa.gov cloud and plans an API for broader data use.
