summary
SIG meets twice monthly and maintains the CNCF Storage White Paper v2 and a Performance & Benchmarking v1 that include sample tools so teams can run their own tests rather than trust vendor numbers. The group uses CSI as the Kubernetes storage interface, defines five evaluation attributes (availability, scalability, performance, consistency, durability), tracks project health through sandbox→incubation→graduation (OpenEBS in long review, Provega under consideration, Rook recently graduated), and publishes meeting minutes and review checklists to guide acceptance.
