FOSS Story of Janayugom
summary
Janayugom, a Kerala newspaper, migrated its entire workflow from proprietary tools to free/open-source software: they built a Kubuntu-based custom distro called Janayugom GNU/Linux as the main OS, use Scribus for page layout, and adopted GIMP, Inkscape, Krita and LibreOffice for other tasks. The talk covers the migration process, the technical and organizational challenges encountered, and the outcomes of switching pre-press and accounting workflows to FOSS.
