Lightning Talks: Hillhacks 2017
summary
Hillhacks runs 15–31 May 2017 with the core program 18–21 May on a hilltop venue in Bir, the paragliding capital, where internet comes via a satellite dish and frequently drops during power outages. The event mixes OS and electronics hacking, attendees from Chaos Computer Club, hands‑on microcontroller benches, two weeks of post‑conference project time, and a staffed school outreach program teaching maths and science in nearby village schools. No travel funding is provided; signups and lightning‑talk slots are on the Lightning Talks Wiki.
