SKILLAB: Creating a Skills Supply and Demand Data Space
summary
A three-year Horizon project (started Jan 2024, 10 partners across six countries) builds an open‑source skills supply-and-demand platform and prediction hub that ingests job postings, EU taxonomies and policies, CVs, academic and project databases and company artifacts. A SkillUp Tracker gathers data, a modeler applies neural NLP models to map text to the ESCO taxonomy and extract code-pattern skills, an XAI forecaster projects temporal/regional/sectoral gaps, and an agent issues HR, curriculum and policy recommendations; currently at conceptual design with three pilots (open source, private cluster, public authority).
