What ~new~ strange things one can find in AndroidX package.
summary
Covers concrete, usable surprises in AndroidX: VersionedParcelable (formerly SafeParcelable) is a Java-focused parcel format that survives field changes and supports writing to streams but requires an unpublished annotation processor to work in third‑party projects; EmojiCompat uses downloadable fonts so apps can add or replace emoji (via EmojiTextView or spannables) and fix gendered/new emoji across Android versions; ViewPager2 is a RecyclerView under the hood, adds vertical paging and FragmentStateAdapter with only a few code changes; also shows ComponentActivity extras like OnBackPressedDispatcher, an IME leak cleaner, SavedStateHandle + SavedStateViewModelFactory, and notes LocalBroadcastManager is deprecated.
