Shows how to write a Gradle plugin in Kotlin that compiles into a jar with a META-INF plugin properties file, publishes to mavenLocal, registers tasks using register tasks lazily (task configuration avoidance) instead of creating them eagerly, marks inputs/outputs with @Input/@Output annotations so tasks become incremental and up-to-date, and annotates tasks @CacheableTask with path sensitivity so outputs hit a local or remote build cache (Docker server). Tests use Gradle TestKit and --profile/--scan to find slow plugins; Android adds ~500 tasks per module.
