Opening Keynote - Advice Well Taken
summary
Dasha Ilina presents a project documenting “techlore,” collected folk stories about how people understand and cope with modern technology—covering topics like data and privacy, DIY repairs, anthropomorphizing devices, hacking and workarounds. The project, developed as ADVICE WELL TAKEN during an EMAP residency at IMPAKT (with Supisara Burapachaisri), uses these everyday tales to show how ordinary users assert control over opaque tech features.
