Jonah Stiennon Lightning Demo Keynote - Velocity Santa Clara 2014
summary
Demo shows Appium as an HTTP server that sends JSON Wire Protocol commands to real and simulated devices, reusing native Apple/Google automation so the same tests run against iOS and Android browsers and native apps. The demo executes a working multi-touch gesture on an iPad simulator and a simple calculator add test via Ruby and Node clients (Node attempt stumbles). Claims hosted parallel cloud runs of many tests, open source and language-agnostic.
