A web app composes counterpoint in real time by encoding a Cantus firmus to MIDI, sending JSON to two Java microservices (counterpoint service and chord-analyzer) deployed with Spring Boot and Cloud Foundry. It enforces about 70 rules from Fuchs across five species and seven modes, returns MusicXML output, and annotates identified chords. Source is open source, deploy cycle is mvn clean install then cf push, and demos show live jamming and low-latency responses over a phone hotspot.
