Maidr is a Python package that converts matplotlib and seaborn plots into synchronized visual, tactile, textual, audible and conversational outputs by adding two lines of code (import and maidr.show) and intercepting raw plot data to bake Braille Unicode patterns and sonification (stereo panning + pitch) into the SVG. Demos include multiline, boxplot, histogram and multi‑panel subplots, support Quarto/Jupyter/Colab/Streamlit/Shiny, report measured overheads ~1.48 ms (matplotlib) and ~3.26 ms (seaborn), and the project is open source on GitHub.
