Prototype JIT is implemented and mechanically verified in Coq, reusing the CompCert backend and its correctness proofs to generate x86 code, and modeling impurity with a free-monadic encoding that exposes a small set of trusted primitives (install code, stack ops). Proofs combine forward and backward simulations to preserve observable behavior plus stack/heap effects. Extraction yields an executable OCaml/C prototype that outperforms pure interpretation (up to 40x faster on simple tests) using custom calling conventions.
