Prototype editor tall tylr completes malformed code by inserting abstract syntactic placeholders rather than enumerating text repairs, using a tile-based pipeline with a molder that turns tokens into tiles and a meldr melding calculus that generalizes operator-precedence parsing. The system guarantees sound, total parsing and favors repairs by minimizing obligations, enabling linear-time, bounded-context parsing with incremental parallelism. A user study reports both positive usability signals and frequent direct rejection of obligation-based repairs, pointing to usable benefits but important UX challenges.
