Automated spell-checking in Django projects
summary
Automated checks use sphinxcontrib-spelling for Sphinx docs and a new tool potypo for .po files, combining python-gettext parsing with pyenchant to run multiple spell engines. Configuration lives in setup.cfg, supports per-language wordlists, phrase and edge-case skipping (punctuated tokens, alphanumeric IDs), and CI gates by checking _build/spelling output. Prototype is already running on one real project and catches many typos that manual review misses.
