Keynote: State of the Cephalopod

on YouTube ↗36m

" summary

Ceph updates to Nautilus include an integrated GUI dashboard and an orchestrator API that automates deployment via Rook, Ansible or SSH; PG autoscaling that lets pools self-adjust (and allows reductions as well as increases); managed NFS Ganesha gateways and RBD image introspection with rbd top; device health metrics with device failure prediction (local model or cloud mode) and central config in the monitor DB. Release cadence stays at ~9 months, Octopus is next, and a 10-node Intel test cluster (officinalis) arrives to drive Project Crimson performance work.
