summary

Conference is the 17th Bitcoin++ event and the first billed as an open source edition, held in Nairobi and framed around the four essential freedoms of FOSS: run, read and change source, redistribute copies, and share modified versions. Organizers announce a hackathon kickoff 3:00 with SoapBox sponsoring prizes, logistics: lunch 12:30, limited elevators, and requests to get photo permission plus a few talks that are not to be recorded. Headline sponsors named: NYDIG and Human Rights Foundation.
