The Importance of Independence

on YouTube ↗10m

" summary

An organization builds and ships the Embassy personal server, a plug‑and‑play box that’s designed to run a Bitcoin node and Lightning, host personal cloud storage, and provide p2p messaging so users control their own data. The claim is concrete: lower the technical and cost barriers to self‑hosting so nonexperts can replace centralized services (messaging, remittances, food supply is cited) and avoid outages like the recent multi‑hour WhatsApp disruption. The system is live and promoted via an Independence Citadel demo.
