Welcome and Opening Remarks
summary
Opening remarks set the conference tone and contain no technical content, just logistics and anecdotes. A brief floor popping anecdote about a harmless structural noise prompts a light evacuation and reassurance, followed by explicit attendance travel times mentioned up to 18 hours, thanks for enduring COVID travel, and a nod to the lineup. The rest is straightforward housekeeping and schedule information and a handoff to the first session, so skip if seeking technical depth.
