summary
Claim: the React compiler automatically adds memoization to reduce unnecessary re-renders in React Native and moves optimization from manual hooks to build time. Evidence: release candidate after Oct 2024 beta, tested on an Expo sample app (requires Metro restart, optional ESLint plugin), incremental adoption with a skip directive, known incompatibility with deep‑proxy libs like MobX while Zustand works, and an interactive React compiler playground that shows analyzer, SSA IR, and the generated optimized output.
