An Introduction to the ZODB

ZODB provides a Python object store that is fully ACID-compliant, stores pickled objects in a data.fs file, and installs via pip install zodb3==3.10.1. Persistence hooks into CPython memory management so reads are cheap, writes require explicit transaction.commit or transaction.abort and support subtransactions for batching large updates. BTree-backed maps avoid loading whole collections, ZEO and RelStorage enable multi‑client and SQL backends, and Python 3 support is not yet available.
