The top obstacle to producing APIs is lack of time (52.3%) while the top obstacle to consuming them is lack of documentation (54.3%). REST dominates (93.4%); JSON Schema (75.6%), Swagger 2.0 (43.9%) and OpenAPI 3.0 (27.8%) lead specs. Nearly half (45.7%) plan to increase API investment and over 60% report being somewhat or fully API‑first.
