" summary

Polymer announces that customElements v1 and Shadow DOM v1 are shipping natively in Chrome and Safari, and Polymer 2.0 exists as a preview branch on GitHub that compiles down to native low‑level custom elements. A new open catalog at beta.webcomponents.org is live for submitting components, showing inline demos and structured documentation, and the plan is to migrate existing Polymer elements there so everyone can find and download components in one place.
