KCDGT Closing: Professionals
summary
A community-run regional conference attracted about 400 attendees—mostly students from places like New Zealand, China, Spain, Argentina, Colombia, India and across Latin America—using a community platform for sessions and streaming to YouTube and Twitter, with recordings to be published the following week. Sponsors provided books and Teleport support, and the day concluded with a live concert featuring Mila Verte and 30–40 performers; the hybrid streaming platform required a short cutover but then resumed successfully.
