Change the World With the Peer Web and Thali
summary
Claims that phones form a local peer web that works with no SIM or Wi‑Fi and that a postcard app syncs instantly between a Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 using Wi‑Fi Direct + Bluetooth. Implements node-style apps via JXcore + Cordova with PouchDB sync and TLS/public‑key ACLs. Uses a coin‑flipping key exchange for pairing, runs CI across many Android devices, demos show live message sync, and future plans include mesh relaying, Tor gateways and Microsoft Research experiments with TV white space.
