Microservices: From dream to reality in forty five minutes

A polyglot cat app is built on Raspberry Pis and on Bluemix to show microservices actually running: Liberty containers, Cloud Foundry, JAX-RS for JSON, Consul-based service discovery, and simple DB-per-service. The demo exposes a data center in a handbag, spins stopped apps back up on Bluemix, and reveals a naive scoring microservice that always returns score always 70. An auto-publish endpoints Liberty extension registers and unregisters services; overall the demo mostly works but highlights the need for 100% automation.
