Advice: never use code reviews for performance evaluations; use them to find real bugs, share knowledge and keep design sanity. Adopt a tool (JetBrains Upsource, IntelliJ integrations, CI, static analysis, OWASP dependency-check) and record discussions. Have authors self-review (cuts reviewer-found issues ~50%), keep commits small, review within 24 hours, and aim for two reviewers because the first finds ~50% of issues and the second ~25%. Timebox reviews to one hour and avoid arguing about style.
