summary

AOSP developers discuss concrete fixes and workflows: a bi‑monthly meetup with ~350 members and 30–35 attendees shares daily builds and manifests, recommends using Cuttlefish and other emulators (Goldfish, Trout) as reference platforms, and points to ci.android.com artifacts for known‑good manifests. Pain points include stalled Gerrit patches, the owners file as the merge gate, timing patches for the Sept–Oct merge window, and proposals to maintain a close‑sync fork (less divergence than Lineage) and improve tooling for SELinux, secomp and embedded boards like Raspberry Pi.
