Realtime Awesomeness: An Intro to Building Apps With Firebase

Talkat Codemotion Rome 2015 · 2015-03-25..03-28· [web-platform, nodejs]
slides:none on file

A realtime chat app is built and deployed end-to-end using Firebase: the JavaScript SDK for realtime syncing, Twitter OAuth for auth, push for concurrent messages, and live coding shows under 100 lines of client code. App deploys with the CLI using Firebase deploy and runs over HTTPS. Offline caching is available (mobile persistence beta, JS local until close). Platform stats: ~1M concurrent connections overall; free tier caps at 50 concurrent users.
