Goal is to make developers a first-class user of the datacenter by hiding infra complexity and exposing APIs, with concrete pieces: Project Lightwave (component identity and access management, Apache 2, supports multiple protocols for trust between hosts, containers and services), Project Photon (lightweight Linux distro and CF stemcell, GPLv2, optimized for containers on vSphere, already available), and NSX/OVN for micro-segmentation to secure dozens/hundreds/thousands of dynamic instances.
