I came for democracy but stayed for Bitcoin
summary
Testigo Digital is a crowdsourced verification system for Guatemala’s voting records that uses a CAPTCHA-like OCR game to collect millions of data points linking photographed electoral documents to official records. It anchors those attestations on Bitcoin using OpenTimestamps and pays contributors via the Lightning Network through Stakwork rewards, enabling FundaciónHCG.org to perform an independent citizen audit of an election with over 25 million votes without relying on electoral authorities.
