GitHub issues collect nominations, people vote with emojis, and the TSC picks winners across categories; winners include Best user adopter (GitHub generators noted), Most valuable contributor Azra Ali, and a remote Best Sigstore evangelist to be notified. A ContribFest on Thursday October 27 lists entry-level and mid-level issues for hands-on help. A live Kahoot quiz tests surprising facts — e.g. there are five key ceremonies for the public Rekor root — and winners get swag like Sigstore socks.
