Launched in March as a joint University of Toronto COVID project, howsmyflattening.ca aggregates scraped government feeds into a database, produces near–real‑time dashboards and deep dives, and moves from Tableau prototypes to a containerized stack on OpenShift and Kubernetes. The pipeline uses CI/CD with GitLab runners, public GitHub/GitLab collaboration, Slack coordination, and an Open Data Hub for secure analytics across hospitals. Volunteer grad students and clinicians maintain data hygiene and visualizations that policymakers and the public can actually query.
